What Policyholders Should Expect During The Claims Process

We urge you to file a claim as soon as possible, if your home was damaged from a Hurricane. Please take any necessary steps to protect your home from further damage. If you do begin repairs before our inspection, take photos, save receipts and/or contracts and do not discard of any damaged parts or materials. In Florida, any person who knowingly and with the intent to injure, defraud, or deceive any insurance company files a statement of claim containing any false, incomplete or misleading information is guilty of a felony.

In New York, any person who knowingly and with intent to defraud any insurance company or another person, files a statement of claim containing any materially false information, or conceals for the purpose of misleading, information concerning any fact, material thereto, commits a fraudulent insurance act, which is a crime, is subject to criminal prosecution and substantial civil penalties.
